Andrea Lewis currently holds the position of CEO/Festival Director of Somerset Storyfest, the writer’s festival for the Gold Coast. First contracted in 2003 by the then Somerset Celebration of Literature, Andrea has taken the festival from strength to strength to be recognised as one of Australia’s foremost writers’ festivals. Andrea’s commitment to Arts and Culture industry on the Gold Coast and beyond have assisted in developing literacy-based activities throughout the City for children, youth and adults. Taking a collaborative approach and always looking for innovative ways in which to support like minded organisations, ensures success for everyone.

Tayla Haynes
Marketing Coordinator

Tayla joined the Storyfest team in 2016. With extensive experience in Graphic Design, Tayla oversees marketing and is responsible to ensure our brand and messaging is consistent with values. As well as supervision of the creative aspect of Storyfest, Tayla also coordinates the Sponsored Schools Programme and is the key liaison for Authors to the annual writer’s festival.

Lucy Spudic
Event Coordinator

Lucy has a diverse history, having worked in the events industry for over 10 years. Commencing in the role of event coordinator in 2018, Lucy brings her experience overseeing logistics along with supervision of the Storyfest internship programme. Lucy’s welcoming approach sees her interact with our sponsors ensuring efficient stewardship is maintained.

Sue Horkings
Storyfest on the road... Producer

Sue joined the Storyfest team as a Gold Coast City Council Emerging Producer in early 2019 and produced the Prologue Party, Grand Parade and Creative Life event in Tugun. Sue brings with her many years of experience co-producing and delivering festivals on the Gold Coast, including Varsity Winterfest 15, 16 and 17 and now leads the Storyfest on the road... programme bringing Authors and Illustrators to students throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane and beyond.

Rebecca Pridham
Administration Assistant

Rebecca has been apart of the Storyfest team since 2016. Specialising in event theming, Rebecca coordinates Storyfest Literary Lunch, Long Table Dinner and various other events throughout the year.

Gabriella Lennon
Administration Assistant

Gabriella commenced as an Intern whilst completing her event management degree. Gabriella’s initiative and strive to succeed became apparent early on and has recently been offered a part time role to join the team as an events assistant. Gabriella will also develop and implement a new marketing strategy with a focus on social media.
