Erica Eurell

Jingeri (Hello) My name is Erica Eurell; I’m a Traditional Custodians from the Yugambeh Language Region of the Gold Coast. My family on my Mother’s side are from the Mununjali,

Koombumerri as well as a Descendent from Clara of Wollumbin.

I have a passion for connecting with community so my knowledge in culture has grown and thus I help others within the wider community develop an increased understanding and respect for the culture. To achieve this I will support and sort out the skills and knowledge of Indigenous artists and craftsmen/ women.

My connections I have made through weaving and painting , and particularly  Language and performance base projects has allowed me to connect to other active members of the community  so I have strong understanding of cultural protocols and needs and in particular the Indigenous youth of who will be involves in the continual growth of the business.

So with this endeavour I hope to create a space where the Indigenous Arts of all types can be put on show to the world.
I am a acknowledged holder of indigenous weaving skills and run many workshops to pass on this craft to future generations. My business, Dreamtime Artistry provide pathways for our Emerging first Nations artists to showcase their talents to the world.
