For AusArt Day 2026, Storyfest is setting out to put 200 new books by Australian authors and illustrators into the hands of young readers.
Our goal is simple: raise $5,000 to gift 200 books to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to own a new book.
Every book gifted also supports the Australian literary community, connecting the work of our authors and illustrators directly with the next generation of readers.
Help us to continue to provide unique opportunities to the Gold Coast community and beyond. Through generous donations, we're able to offer many free community events and literally thousands of children the opportunity to embrace literature.
The Sponsored Schools Programme - ensuring all children have the opportunity to develop their love of literature...
Over the years, students from as far afield as Nyangatjatjara NT, St George QLD and the Solomon Islands have been beneficiaries. First started by a group of likeminded families who shared the passion of literature with a couple of local schools, we now see the experience shared with an estimated 1,000 children each year. These students are transported, accommodated (when needed) and given the opportunity to attend author sessions at the Festival.
