Uncle Billy Oui was born on Thursday Island (TI) and raised in a small village called Dadamud on Erub (Darnley Island) in the Torres Strait.  Uncle Billy currently lives on Kumbemberri Country on the Gold Coast and is currently the Chairperson of Kalwun Development Corporation, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisation.
