Over the past 31 years, Storyfest has become a literary hub brimming with opportunities for the community and businesses alike. 2024 will be the organisation’s biggest year yet: here’s how you can get involved too!

We are excited to announce that 2024 will see us bringing a love of storytelling to even more locations: on top of our now 31-year-old Gold Coast based writers’ festival, Storyfest will not only be returning to Longreach for the third Storyfest Out West, but also venturing to two entirely new locations: Emerald and St George!

These expansions will broaden Storyfest’s mission, bringing a love of storytelling to rural areas of Queensland where it’s most sorely needed. Click here to read what Storyfest CEO and Festival Director, Andrea Lewis had to say about the year ahead.

Here’s where you come in! Big plans equal bigger opportunities – which is exactly why we’re excited to take on new challenges. However, big plans also require a strong support base, and the support of corporate partners and businesses has evolved to be a foundational block on which we build our wonderful organisation. If you’re an existing partner, donors, or long-time supporter – thank you! We truly couldn’t do the important work we do without you.

If you’re new here, or would like to support the mission of Storyfest in more than one way, here are the different ways businesses can get involved. Storyfest provides a range of mutually beneficial corporate options – explore them below!

Putt for a good cause!

With the year ahead, your organisation might be considering the best way to boost team morale. A step up from your everyday team-building activity is a corporate charity day – on top of the benefits of team-building, these charity days also benefit the community and increase the organisation’s reputation locally.

Storyfest’s Charity Golf Day is the perfect marriage of both options – it is a fun day out for your team, filled with an active past-time as well as the opportunity for your organisation to show support for a good cause: children’s literacy programmes.

Take your team to a Storyfest Business Lunch!

Our Business Lunch Series is the perfect opportunity for your business to build team spirit, network with like-minded players, and to hear special guests speak about timely topics. Getting a seat at this coveted networking opportunity not only provides you with potential new business avenues, but also supports us in the development of our community programmes.

In the past, one woman's life was changed by a Business Lunch. Now, Kaitlin recommends that everyone must go at least once.

“There is a real sense of community at these business lunches. It’s good to rub elbows with people in the community and to raise money for a good cause.”

Here are 5 reasons to attend a Stoyfest Business Lunch!
